Accumulation and Chemical Forms of Cadmium in Tissues of Different Vegetable Crops

Large areas of arable lands in China have been contaminated by heavy metals, which cadmium (Cd) contamination was the most prevalent. Cd accumulation main food crops and leafy vegetables grown Cd-contaminated fields has aroused considerable attention recent years. The present study investigated pollution farmland soils Qujing city Yunnan Province, China. By comparing uptake capacities different crops, this aimed to provide guidance for agricultural production farmland, clarify influence bioavailability soil chemical forms plant roots on its migration.
